happy national day! feel like going to watch the frieworks leh.. but dunno who is free to go aso.. didnt ask ard too.. lazy.. so guess i'm gonna miss it ba.... wait for next yr then...
camp has ended and sch has started... foc was fun and kinda siong for me.. guess gotta attritude to my old age ba... or mayb cos the holi i hav been slacking tooo much and that extra calories is making me heavier to run ard... ha... my fitness level has detoriate tremedously... haiz... will need to do sth abt it... this yr foc isnt as siong as last yr.. but i was worn out too.. ha.. lao le lao le... =P but it was fun lah... hee...
sch started for 2 days... it's gonna be a heavy work year again.. will be learning some programming... hee.. i jus hope the prof adjust this time table again... think cos he's new ba.. didnt know tt the sem is onli 13 wks and in between got a week break.. yalor.. he planned till got 17 wks of lessons lor... ha... although i dun hav much exams... but still i need my exams break... =P
when for a seminar yesterday as part of our conceptual design mod... it was an interesting talk.. learnt lotsa things frm the talk and i'm admiring a particular speaker, Mr Y J Ban... the chairman and ceo of stikfas... he's cool and entertaining.. i admire how he controls his company... how he treats everyone as his family and how he values his staffs... inspriring talk frm him...
after the talk, it kinda made me think alot... it's really difficult to find a boss tt is aprreciative of his workers and values them sooo much... and beinga worker, if you know tt your boss is soo appreciative of you, naturally you will go all out to work for tt boss.. and sooo.. it will no longer be a boss and worker relationship but more of a fren fren kind of relationship... where everyone works as a team... brings me back to my nas vball days.. where everyone trains as a team going and aiming for tt same goal.. the champ.. same for the jc days too.. but the team goal wasnt tt strong as my sec sch days... really miss playing and training as a team... will try bring tt kind of spirit into the uni team... it reallly feels great being a united team...
during the talk, mr ban talks abt how he finds sth missing when he collects toys.. being a avid toy collector he had numerous toys collections but he always finds sth missing... which is the playability and poseability... and becos of tt he came out wif his own toy, stikfas... which allows the player to pose the toys anyway he/she wans....
this made me to think... nowadays people wans to be able to control the things they hav... and hence the surfacing of products that allows people to control how the particular products move and operate.. like you can now configure your own handphone display.. wat kind of wall paper you like to hav, the type of ringtone you wan.. mayb you like to assign different ringtone for different people etc.. but in the past, the things that the consumers are able to control are sooo much far lesser... and they are still happy wif that... somehow i attributes these shift in the wans in people to the change in the attitudes in people... the wan to stand out frm the crowd and the thrist for power ba... think our society nowadays have been trained to hav their own thinking... and hence, we do not like our stuffs to be pre-programmed for us.. we wan to program our own stuffs... yalor.. and hence the shifts in the needs in the consumers.. was thinking if this trend were to continue.. would we ever be tooo dominating that we were to be too stubborn and insensitive to the people ard us?
ha.. think wat i've typed kinda messy.. nv really organised my thoughts lah.. so doubt they are comprehensive.. bleh...
